Delete Account & Data

This page describes how to request deletion of your FoodTrace account and associated data. FoodTrace is developed by Jaded Tinker .

How to Delete Your Account

Follow both steps below to fully remove your local data and request deletion of your cloud account.

  1. Delete local data — Open the app and go to Settings → Advanced → Clear All Data. This permanently removes all on-device data, including ingredient logs, meals, health data, and preferences stored in the local SQLite database.
  2. Request cloud account deletion — Send an email to jadedtinker@proton.me with the subject "Account Deletion Request" and include your registered email address in the message body.

We will process your request and delete your cloud account and all associated data within 30 days.

Data That Will Be Deleted

  • Your Supabase account (email address and user ID)
  • All cloud-synced ingredient logs and meal history
  • All cloud-synced health and wellness data (body metrics, symptoms, mood, wellbeing)
  • App settings and preferences stored in the cloud

Data That Will Be Retained

  • Purchase & subscription records (RevenueCat): Retained as required by law for refund processing, financial records, and tax compliance (typically up to 7 years).
  • Google advertising data: Managed by Google under their own data retention policies. To opt out of personalized ads, adjust your device's ad settings (iOS: Settings → Privacy → Tracking; Android: Settings → Google → Ads) or purchase FoodTrace Premium.

Note: On-device data (local SQLite database) is only accessible to you and is removed by Step 1 above or by uninstalling the app. We do not have remote access to your local data.
